About the Role:
Tank Security Team is looking for a motivated and professional Security Officer to help keep the energy positive and the environment safe at special events, theatres, and local entertainment venues across Lincoln, NE. This is a dynamic, people-facing role where no two shifts are the same. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and take pride in keeping others safe, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Provide security presence at special events, theatre productions, and local entertainment venues
- Monitor crowd behavior and ensure a safe, enjoyable environment for guests and staff
- Control access points, check credentials, and manage entry/exit flow
- Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies and coordinate with local authorities as needed
- Conduct routine patrols of venue premises before, during, and after events
- De-escalate conflicts using strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Complete accurate incident reports and maintain event security logs
Requirements:
- Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred
- Valid Nebraska Security Guard registration or ability to obtain one
- Strong situational awareness and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent verbal communication and conflict de-escalation skills
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods during events
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Professional appearance and a team-oriented attitude

Compensation: $15.50 - $20.00 per hour
